My end is at 90' which should help a bit. As for 900 MHz, yes, it does better through foliage and there is lots of QRM potential at 2.4 GHz. I'm sure I'm seeing that here based on highly variable S/N readings over short time spans.
But I think some good filtering can fix much of that. 900 pagers could be tougher to filter out in-band.
I have some ubiquity 2.4 point-to-point gear here that could be one end of a link to the north. Would probably be more successful on Ken's new tower than from my place. Is there anyone on in Troy?
Also, I'll have the mode on the Englewood water tank in about a month which would be an excellent site for several links if needed.
