The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  South central Morris County in northern New Jersey...
  Southeastern Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey...
  North central Mercer County in central New Jersey...
  Southern Somerset County in northern New Jersey...
  North central Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until midnight EDT.

* At 755 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
  Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in the last hour.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
  Somerville, Somerset, Middlesex, Bound Brook, Manville, Hopewell,
  Millstone, Skillman, Flagtown, Belle Mead, Martinsville, Society
  Hill, South Plainfield, North Plainfield, Dunellen, Raritan,
  Watchung and South Bound Brook.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 37 and 42.
 Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 5 and 16.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Protecting yourself from immediate threats to life and safety shall
take priority.  Whenever possible, as long as it does not cause
greater harm, all COVID-19 protective action guidance should be
followed.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
