...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTY...

At 829 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Navesink, or
near Sandy Hook, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Long Branch, Sandy Hook, Middletown, Tinton Falls, Red Bank,
Keansburg, Highlands, Navesink, Lincroft, Eatontown, West Long
Branch, Rumson, Little Silver, Oceanport, Shrewsbury and North
Middletown.

This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 107 and 114.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
