...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM EDT
FOR WEST CENTRAL NEW CASTLE AND WEST CENTRAL SALEM COUNTIES...

At 624 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Glasgow, or
near Elkton, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Salem, Delaware City, Saint Georges, Port Penn, Hope Creek,
Mount Pleasant, Glasgow, Bear and Brookside.

This includes Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 2 and 5.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers.
Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck
by lightning.
