...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN ATLANTIC...SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN
BURLINGTON COUNTIES...

At 359 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles east of Barnegat to 6 miles southeast of
Tuckerton to near Port Republic to near Pomona, moving southeast at
25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Atlantic City, Barnegat, Pleasantville, Brigantine, Absecon,
Tuckerton, Surf City, Port Republic, Pomona, Bass River State Forest,
New Gretna, Beach Haven West, Mystic Island, Ocean Acres, Manahawkin
and Waretown.

This includes the following highways...
 Garden State Parkway between mile markers 40 and 72.
 Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 0 and 2.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
