...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN MONMOUTH AND SOUTHEASTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 309 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Marlboro, or 11
miles south of Perth Amboy, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Long Branch, Sandy Hook, Middletown, Old Bridge, East Brunswick,
Sayreville, Marlboro, Tinton Falls, Holmdel, Red Bank, Matawan,
Highlands, Brownville, Robertsville, Elberon, Navesink, Lincroft,
Morganville, Yorketown and East Freehold.

This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 106 and 126.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers.
Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck
by lightning.
