...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT EAST CENTRAL OCEAN COUNTY...

At 152 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Beachwood, or 9
miles south of Toms River, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Barnegat, Beachwood, Seaside Heights and Waretown.

This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 70 and 79.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
