SOUTHEASTERN GLOUCESTER...NORTHEASTERN CAPE MAY AND SOUTHEASTERN
BURLINGTON COUNTIES...
At 945 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from Lakehurst to Malaga. Movement was
southeast at 25 mph.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.
Locations impacted include...
Toms River, Vineland, Atlantic City, Millville, Ocean City,
Cumberland, Lakewood, Jackson, Barnegat, Pleasantville, Hammonton,
Beachwood, Somers Point, Ventnor City, Brigantine, Northfield,
Absecon, Tabernacle, Shamong and Margate City.
This includes the following highways...
Garden State Parkway between mile markers 19 and 89.
Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 0 and 36.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
