...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM EDT
FOR EAST CENTRAL MORRIS COUNTY...

At 746 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over East Hanover,
or near Caldwell, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Florham Park, East Hanover, Lincoln Park, Boonton, Morris Plains,
Mountain Lakes, Parsippany and Hanover Township.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 40 and 48.
 Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 38 and 49.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Protecting yourself from immediate threats to life and safety shall
take priority.  Whenever possible, as long as it does not cause
greater harm, all COVID-19 protective action guidance should be
followed.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers.
Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck
by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
