LEHIGH...CARBON...SOUTHWESTERN MONROE AND SOUTHWESTERN NORTHAMPTON
COUNTIES...

At 609 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Christmans to Port Carbon. Movement
was southeast at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Allentown, Reading, Easton, Lehighton, Bethlehem, Emmaus, Wyomissing,
Northampton, Wilson, Hellertown, Nazareth, Palmerton, Kutztown, Jim
Thorpe, Hamburg, Slatington, Fleetwood, Sinking Spring, Laureldale
and Nesquehoning.

This includes the following highways...
 Northeast Extension between mile markers 50 and 97.
 Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 21 and 68, and
between mile markers 71 and 76.
 Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 277 and 286.
 Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 10 and 11.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
