...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN ATLANTIC...
SOUTHWESTERN OCEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN BURLINGTON COUNTIES...

At 254 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Old Halfway, or
17 miles southwest of Toms River, moving south at 25 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Atlantic City, Barnegat, Pleasantville, Ventnor City, Brigantine,
Northfield, Absecon, Margate City, Egg Harbor City, Tuckerton, Surf
City, Port Republic, Longport, Wading River, Warren Grove,
Chatsworth, Pomona, Bamber Lake, Brookville and Bass River State
Forest.

This includes the following highways...
 Garden State Parkway between mile markers 38 and 69.
 Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 0 and 7.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring, and may cause localized
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
