* Snow Squall Warning for...
  West central Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey...
  Northwestern Warren County in northwestern New Jersey...
  Eastern Carbon County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
  Monroe County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 230 PM EST.

* At 148 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
  extending from Sterling to near Penobscot, moving southeast at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...Extremely poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
           Wind gusts greater than 30 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

  IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* This includes the following highways...
   Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 2.
   Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 277 and 314.
   Northeast Extension between exits A87 and A95.
   Interstate 380 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 12.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Pocono, East Stroudsburg, Tobyhanna, Palmerton, Jim Thorpe,
Wind Gap, Weatherly, Branchville, Stormville, Werry Lake, Pocono
Pines, Millbrook, Lake Harmony, Skytop, Tannersville, Long Pond,
Kresgeville, Sun Valley, Reeders and Beltzville State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.

There is no safe place on a highway when a snow squall hits.
Visibility and traction are immediately lost in whiteout conditions,
making it difficult or impossible to slow down and avoid stopped
vehicles. Delay travel or safely exit the highway before the snow
squall arrives.
