* Snow Squall Warning for...
  Northeastern Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey...
  Morris County in northern New Jersey...
  East central Warren County in northwestern New Jersey...
  Northern Somerset County in northern New Jersey...
  Northeastern Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 930 AM EST.

* At 848 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located over Califon, or
  13 miles northwest of Somerville, moving east at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Extremely poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
           Wind gusts up to 30 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* This includes the following highways...
   Garden State Parkway between mile markers 131 and 134.
   Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 19 and 48.
   Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 20 and 42.
   Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 26 and 49.
   New Jersey Turnpike near exit 13.

Locations impacted include...
Morristown, Carteret, Dover, Madison, Middlesex, Florham Park, East
Hanover, Lincoln Park, Hackettstown, Chatham, Boonton, Wharton,
Washington, Rockaway, Morris Plains, Mount Arlington, Mendham,
Mountain Lakes, High Bridge and Stanhope.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.

There is no safe place on a highway when a snow squall hits.
Visibility and traction are immediately lost in whiteout conditions,
making it difficult or impossible to slow down and avoid stopped
vehicles. Delay travel or safely exit the highway before the snow
squall arrives.
