...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN MERCER COUNTY IS CANCELLED...

The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out
of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM EDT for
central and northern New Jersey.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN SOMERSET AND SOUTHWESTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 1219 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Princeton Meadows, or 10 miles southwest of New
Brunswick, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
New Brunswick, Somerset, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, North
Brunswick, Jamesburg, Cranbury, Princeton Meadows, Kingston,
Whittingham, Dayton, Kendall Park, Plainsboro Center, North Brunswick
Township, Clearbrook Park, Spotswood, Milltown, Helmetta, Concordia
and Monmouth Junction.

This includes New Jersey Turnpike near exit 9.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
wait to see or hear the tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!
