SOUTHWESTERN MORRIS...NORTHEASTERN HUNTERDON...SOMERSET AND MIDDLESEX
COUNTIES...
At 704 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the thunderstorms with heavy
rain had left the warned area. However, additional rain is possible
with showers and it will take time for the runoff to recede. Up to
two inches of rain have already fallen.
Some locations that could experience flooding include...
New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge,
East Brunswick, Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North
Brunswick, Carteret, Middlesex, Bound Brook, Manville, Matawan,
Flemington, High Bridge, Clinton and Peapack And Gladstone.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
