...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN CAMDEN...SOUTHEASTERN MERCER...NORTHWESTERN
BURLINGTON...SOUTHWESTERN MONMOUTH...SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY...
SOUTHEASTERN BUCKS...PHILADELPHIA AND EASTERN DELAWARE COUNTIES...
At 654 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the thunderstorms with heavy
rain have moved out of the warning area. However additional rain is
possible with more showers in southeastern Pennsylvania. Up to two
inches of rain have already fallen and it will take some time for
the runoff to recede. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Philadelphia, Trenton, Camden, Bensalem, Chester, Willingboro,
Florence, Yeadon, Burlington, Bristol, Riverside, Palmyra, Folcroft,
Swarthmore, Hightstown, Narberth, Bordentown, East Lansdowne, Beverly
and Rockledge.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
