...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN NEW CASTLE...SOUTHEASTERN CHESTER AND DELAWARE
COUNTIES...

At 653 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Drexel Hill to Chelsea to Hockessin to near Oxford,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, West Chester, Chester, Westtown, Carneys Point,
Swarthmore, Elsmere, Kennett Square, West Grove, Arden, Cheyney,
Talleyville, Elam, Bryn Mawr, Trout Lake, Chelsea, Radnor Township,
Gradyville, Greenville and Broomall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A tornado watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for northern
Delaware...southern New Jersey...and southeastern Pennsylvania.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
