SOUTHEASTERN CARBON...SOUTHWESTERN MONROE AND SOUTHWESTERN
NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES...

At 814 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Lenhartsville,
or 15 miles south of Tamaqua, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Allentown, Bethlehem, Northampton, Hellertown, Palmerton, Kutztown,
Hamburg, Slatington, Bath, Walnutport, Steuben, Lenhartsville,
Kunkletown, Neffs, Coffeetown, New Tripoli, Berlinsville, Emerald,
Lehigh University and Claussville.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern and northeastern Pennsylvania.
