...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT CENTRAL BERKS COUNTY...

At 710 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Fredericksburg,
or 10 miles northwest of Myerstown, moving southeast at 40 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Reading, Wyomissing, Sinking Spring, Laureldale, Womelsdorf,
Wernersville, Newmanstown, Bernville, Strausstown, Spring Ridge,
Shillington, West Reading, Mount Penn, Mohnton, Kenhorst, St.
Lawrence, Wyomissing Hills, West Lawn, Lorane and Reiffton.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern Pennsylvania.
