...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM EDT
FOR NEW CASTLE...NORTHERN KENT...EASTERN CECIL...WESTERN SALEM...WEST
CENTRAL GLOUCESTER...SOUTH CENTRAL CHESTER AND SOUTH CENTRAL DELAWARE
COUNTIES...

At 418 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Penns Grove to near Bear to near Hollywood Beach,
moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Newark, Middletown, Elkton, Chester, Pennsville, Carneys
Point, Elsmere, New Castle, Penns Grove, Salem, North East,
Woodstown, Alloway, Quinton, Swedesboro, Delaware City, Charlestown,
Newport and Cecilton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing
widespread wind damage across southeastern Pennsylvania. SEEK
SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
