...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM EDT
FOR NORTHERN CECIL AND SOUTHWESTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 403 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Kennett Square to near Homeville to near Rock
Springs, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Public. Numerous reports of large hail and wind damage have
         been received from Chester County.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
         mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Havre De Grace, Calvert, Kennett Square, Oxford, North East, West
Grove, Rising Sun, Homeville, Glen Roy, Zion, Blake, Cochranville,
West Nottingham, Octoraro, Mount Vernon, Fair Hill, Glen Westover,
Bay View, Lombard and Richardsmere.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These storms are producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a
sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
