...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT EAST CENTRAL MERCER...CENTRAL
MONMOUTH AND CENTRAL MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 434 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Manalapan, or
13 miles south of New Brunswick, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Perth Amboy, Long Branch, Sandy Hook, Middletown, Old Bridge, East
Brunswick, Sayreville, Marlboro, Manalapan, Carteret, Tinton Falls,
Holmdel, Red Bank, Matawan, Jamesburg, Hightstown, Highlands,
Cranbury, Roosevelt and Brownville.

Brief torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
