The water may be deeper than you think.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The North Branch Rancocas Creek at Pemberton.
* At 3:15 PM Thursday the stage was 4.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 2.5 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 4.7 feet
  tonight then begin falling.
* Impact...At 4.2 feet...Homes along Lee Street, Joe Road, and
  Jill Court take on water. Residents along Old Georges Lane and
  Rancocas Trail are subject to evacuations. Homes in Eastampton,
  including the ones on East Mae Avenue, are inundated.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 4.2
  feet on Jul 14 2004.
