...THE FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR NORTHERN NEW CASTLE AND
CHESTER COUNTIES...

The heavy rain has ended and water is receding. As a result, the
flood warning that covered portions of New Castle county and all of
Chester county has been cancelled.

A separate river flood warning remains in effect for the
Brandywine through this afternoon.

...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM EDT FOR DELAWARE
COUNTY...

At 1230 PM EDT, water levels along Ridley Creek and Chester Creek
remained very high. This was in response to the 3.00 to 4.00 of rain
that fell overnight.

Additional showers and thunderstorms are likely this afternoon.
Renewed or more severe flooding is possible if the rain occurs
across the same areas as last night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
