...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE...SOUTH CENTRAL CHESTER AND SOUTHWESTERN
DELAWARE COUNTIES...

At 556 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Kennett Square,
or 10 miles southwest of West Chester, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Elsmere, Kennett Square, West Grove, Newport, Greenville,
Stanton, North Star, Talleyville, Elam, Ladenberg, Pike Creek,
Concordville, Hockessin, Ashland, Avondale and Toughkenamon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Mount Holly NJ.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
