...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN OCEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTIES...

At 355 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Allenwood to Beachwood to near Bass River State
Forest, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Toms River, Lakewood, Barnegat, Beachwood, Leisure Village,
Allenwood, Ramtown, Brick Township, Brookville, Leisure Village East,
Beach Haven West, Holiday City South, Dover Beaches South, South Toms
River, Island Heights, Ocean Acres, Gilford Park, Manahawkin,
Waretown and Silver Ridge.

This includes the following highways...
 Garden State Parkway between mile markers 61 and 99.
 Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 32 and 34.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Mount Holly NJ.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm, and
the storm will affect the beaches. For your safety, immediately move
off the beach and seek shelter indoors.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
