...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM EDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN OCEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTIES...

At 240 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Asbury Park to Dover Beaches North to near
Beachwood, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Toms River, Asbury Park, Tinton Falls, Beachwood, Manasquan, Point
Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, Mantoloking, Allenwood, Dover
Beaches North, Dover Beaches South, Brick Township, Point Pleasant,
Neptune City, Brielle, Spring Lake Heights, Bradley Beach, South Toms
River, Spring Lake and Avon-By-the-sea.

This includes the following highways...
 Garden State Parkway between mile markers 78 and 80, and between
mile markers 96 and 102.
 Interstate 195 in New Jersey near mile marker 34.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Mount Holly NJ.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm, and
the storm will affect the beaches. For your safety, immediately move
off the beach and seek shelter indoors.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
