...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM EDT
FOR MORRIS...EASTERN HUNTERDON...SOUTH CENTRAL SUSSEX...NORTHERN
MERCER...SOMERSET...NORTHERN MONMOUTH...MIDDLESEX AND SOUTHEASTERN
BUCKS COUNTIES...

At 612 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mountain Lakes to Kendall Park, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Law enforcement. Several reports of wind damage have
         occurred with these storms.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Trenton, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Morristown, Somerville,
Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Bridgewater, South
Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Ewing, Carteret, Dover,
Madison, Hopatcong, Middlesex and Princeton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
