...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN MORRIS...EAST CENTRAL HUNTERDON...SOMERSET...
NORTHERN MONMOUTH AND MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 642 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near East Hanover to New Hope, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reports several trees and wires down in
         Somerset and Middlesex Counties.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Morristown, Somerville, Somerset, Edison,
Old Bridge, East Brunswick, Bridgewater, Sayreville, North Brunswick,
Carteret, Madison, Middlesex, Florham Park, East Hanover, Bound
Brook, Manville, Chatham and Matawan.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
