...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN MORRIS...NORTHWESTERN HUNTERDON...SUSSEX AND WARREN
COUNTIES...

At 506 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Lake Telemark to Beatyestown, moving east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Law enforcement. Several reports of trees and wires down
         have been received from Mansfield Township and Blairstown
         Township as these storms passed.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Port Jervis, Newton, Montague, Hopatcong, Hackettstown, Washington,
Blairstown, Mount Arlington, Franklin, Stanhope, Hamburg, Netcong,
Belvidere, Harmony, Oxford, Ogdensburg, Alpha, Sussex, Hope and
Milford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
