...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT
FOR CENTRAL MONMOUTH AND MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 755 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Old Bridge, or
near New Brunswick, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerset, Edison, Middletown, Old Bridge,
East Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Marlboro, Manalapan,
Holmdel, Matawan, Jamesburg, Colonia, Brownville, Robertsville, North
Brunswick Township, Clearbrook Park and Yorketown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK
SHELTER IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
