...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN MORRIS...
SUSSEX...NORTHERN WARREN...NORTHEASTERN CARBON...MONROE AND
NORTHEASTERN NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES...

At 533 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from Franklin to near Meckesville to Pond
Hill. Movement was east at 20 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm...and may cause
ponding on roadways and poor drainage areas. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways.

Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. If you see
lightning or hear thunder seek a safe shelter inside a building or
vehicle.

Locations impacted include...
Newton, Montague, Mount Pocono, Hopatcong, Kinnelon, East
Stroudsburg, Tobyhanna, Butler, Blairstown, Franklin, Pen Argyl,
Hamburg, Ogdensburg, Sussex, Hope, East Bangor, Branchville, Andover,
Stormville and Werry Lake.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
