...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN SOMERSET...NORTHERN MONMOUTH AND MIDDLESEX
COUNTIES...

At 914 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Huguenot,
moving northeast at 40 mph. Another line of storms was located near
Spotswood moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, Old Bridge,
East Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Carteret, Middlesex,
Bound Brook, Manville, Keansburg, Matawan, Jamesburg, Millstone,
Colonia, Brownville and Dayton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
