...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 300 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTY...

At 240 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Elberon, or
over Long Branch, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Long Branch, Asbury Park, Tinton Falls, Red Bank, Elberon, Lincroft,
Allenwood, Eatontown, West Long Branch, Rumson, Little Silver,
Oceanport, Neptune City, Spring Lake Heights, Bradley Beach,
Shrewsbury, Spring Lake, Avon-By-the-sea, Interlaken and Deal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm, and
the storm will affect the beaches. For your safety, immediately move
off the beach and seek shelter indoors.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
