* At 1034 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain was falling
  across portions of the advised area. Up to one and one-half inches
  of rain have already fallen and more is on the way this morning
  and afternoon. The rain is expected to become heavy at times.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
  Allentown, Reading, Easton, Newton, Bethlehem, Pottstown,
  Hopatcong, Forks, Emmaus, Northampton, East Stroudsburg,
  Hackettstown, Wilson, Washington, Blairstown, Hellertown, Nazareth,
  Palmerton, Bangor and Birdsboro.

With a layer of frozen ground, the water will have a hard time
seeping into the soil. As a result, ponding on roadways and flooding
of poor drainage areas will become more widespread. Quick responding
creeks, such as the West Branch Perkiomen in Upper Montgomery
county, will reach or exceed bankfull.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
