...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTY...

At 449 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Freewood Acres,
or 11 miles west of Asbury Park, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Long Branch, Asbury Park, Tinton Falls, Manasquan, Point Pleasant
Beach, Farmingdale, Allenwood, Elberon, Ramtown, Collingwood Park,
Eatontown, West Long Branch, Little Silver, Oceanport, Neptune City,
Brielle, Spring Lake Heights, Bradley Beach, Shrewsbury and Spring
Lake.

This includes the following highways...
 Garden State Parkway between mile markers 95 and 108.
 Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 31 and 34.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm, and
the storm will affect the beaches. For your safety, immediately move
off the beach and seek shelter indoors.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
