...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM EDT
FOR WEST CENTRAL NEW CASTLE AND NORTHEASTERN CECIL COUNTIES...

At 322 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Barksdale, or
near Newark, and is nearly stationary.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
         siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Elkton, Brantwood, Pleasant Hill, Cherry Hill, Barksdale,
Glasgow and Chesapeake City.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 in Maryland between mile markers 103 and 109.
 Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 0 and 1.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move
indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers.
Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck
by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
