...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN SUSSEX COUNTY...

At 616 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Gumboro, or 10
miles northeast of Salisbury, moving south at 25 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Laurel, Delmar and Gumboro.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring, and may cause localized
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
