...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN ATLANTIC COUNTY...
At 605 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the warned area. Up to two
inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly. Although the heaviest rain has moved out of the
area, additional light rain could exacerbate ongoing flooding issues.
Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Atlantic City, Ocean City, Pleasantville, Somers Point, Ventnor City,
Brigantine, Northfield, Absecon, Margate City, Port Republic,
Longport, Pomona, Mays Landing and Linwood.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
