...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northern Delaware, northeast Maryland, New Jersey,
and Pennsylvania, including the following areas, in northern
Delaware, New Castle. In northeast Maryland, Cecil. In New
Jersey, Atlantic, Camden, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland, Eastern
Monmouth, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris,
Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Southeastern
Burlington, Sussex, Warren, and Western Monmouth. In
Pennsylvania, Berks, Carbon, Delaware, Eastern Chester,
Eastern Montgomery, Lehigh, Lower Bucks, Monroe, Northampton,
Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester, and Western
  Montgomery.

* Through late tonight

* Periods of rain should transition to showers today from south
to north. While much of the rain intensity is light to
moderate, the threat for heavier downpours will increase
through tonight. With widespread 1 to 3 inch totals occurring
across the area already, any heavier rainfall that occurs
today will likely lead to instances of flooding.

* Excessive rainfall and runoff can lead to rising water and
flooding, particularly in urban areas and along small creeks
and streams. There is the potential for localized flash
flooding during times of high rainfall rates.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
