...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM EDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN CAMDEN...NORTHWESTERN GLOUCESTER...SOUTHWESTERN
PHILADELPHIA AND SOUTHEASTERN DELAWARE COUNTIES...

At 710 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms
producing very heavy rain across the warned area. 2 to 3 inches of
rain has already fallen, from the Philadelphia International Airport
area across the river to the National Park and Woodbury areas of
Gloucester County in New Jersey. Flooding has been reported on
I-76 and PA-611 in Philadelphia County.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Philadelphia, Camden, Gloucester City, Cherry Hill, Deptford, West
Deptford, Bellmawr, Yeadon, Woodbury, Palmyra, Folcroft, Paulsboro,
Magnolia, Westville, Woodbury Heights, National Park, East Lansdowne,
Brooklawn, Audubon Park and Darby Township.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected in the
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
