today on the New Jersey coast.

Some heavy rain may result in localized flooding later this evening.

The risk for dangerous rip currents will be elevated Friday through
much of next week.

Spotty minor coastal flooding is possible with the evening high tide
Friday, but coastal flooding is more likely with the high tides
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday due to higher astronomical tides
associated with the new moon on Sunday, and an onshore flow starting
Friday, and increasing into the weekend.
