...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT CARBON AND MONROE
COUNTIES...

At 434 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Werry Lake to Nesquehoning. The
storms are nearly stationary.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Lehighton, Mount Pocono, East Stroudsburg, Palmerton, Jim Thorpe,
Nesquehoning, Weatherly, Delaware Water Gap, Stormville, Werry Lake,
Pocono Pines, Lake Harmony, Tannersville, Long Pond, Kresgeville, Sun
Valley, Reeders, Beltzville State Park, Saylorsburg and McMichael.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
