  Raritan River At Bound Brook affecting Middlesex and Somerset Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...Do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.

* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage this morning.
* Impact...At 8.0 feet...Right bank and approach to bridge is flooded.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.7 feet
  on May 1 2014.

* Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage later today.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Flooding occurs along Old York Road and in
  North Branch Village.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.2 feet
  on Dec 11 2003.

* At 8:00 AM Sunday the stage was 12.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage this morning and continue to
  rise to near 14.6 feet around midday. The river will fall below
  flood stage this afternoon.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Dukes Parkway begins to flood in
  Hillsborough.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.5 feet
  on Dec 5 1993.

* from this afternoon to late tonight...or until the warning is
  cancelled.
* At 8:00 AM Sunday the stage was 26.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late this afternoon and continue
  to rise to near 28.4 feet by this evening. The river will fall below
  flood stage by this evening.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet...Backyard and low areas are protected by levees
  and the flood wall. Without the levees or if there is a breach in the
  levees, minor flooding will occur.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 28.4 feet on
  Mar 7 2011.
