A convective microburst formed along a line of strong to severe
thunderstorms west of Pottstown, PA. Damage occurred along a track
extending through much of the center of Pottstown. Though there
aren't any indications that a tornado occurred, this event is
evidence that straight line winds, including downburst events such
as this one, can produce similar damage to some tornadoes.

thunderstorms over portions of Chester County. There were numerous
downed trees throughout portions of East Whiteland Township and
neighboring Willistown, Pennsylvania. Damage to 9 structures,
including a group home, occurred. Though there aren't any
indications that a tornado occured, this event is evidence that
straight line winds, including downburst events such as this one,
can produce similar damage to some tornadoes.
