830 AM EDT FOR SOUTHERN MORRIS...HUNTERDON...MERCER...SOMERSET...
MIDDLESEX...MONMOUTH AND NORTHEASTERN BUCKS COUNTIES...

At 703 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain causing
urban and small stream flooding in South Brunswick. Though the
heaviest rain is moving out of the advisory area, rapid runoff
continues and will lead to urban and small stream flooding for the
next couple of hours.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Trenton, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Long Branch, Morristown,
Somerville, Somerset, Edison, Middletown, Old Bridge, East Brunswick,
Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Marlboro,
Manalapan, Ewing, Carteret and Tinton Falls.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
