...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 AM EDT FOR
SUSSEX...SOUTH CENTRAL KENT...TALBOT AND SOUTHERN CAROLINE
COUNTIES...

At 1209 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen, especially in portions
of Talbot and south central Kent Counties. Talbot County officials
report some high water on area roads, including Dover Bridge, the
Ocean Gateway at High Street, and in South Beechwood.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Easton, Georgetown, Talbot, Seaford, Millsboro, Laurel, Lewes,
Federalsburg, Milton, Bridgeville, Trappe, St. Michaels, Dagsboro,
Preston, Oxford, Millville, Ellendale, Henlopen Acres, Smithville and
Gumboro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
