This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern New Jersey, east
central Pennsylvania, northeast Pennsylvania and southeast
Pennsylvania.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
A rapidly intensifying ocean storm is expected to bring periods of
snow to our area tonight. Generally less than 2 inches is expected
from this storm. The Tuesday morning commute will be adversely
impacted as snow will probably be in progress through sunrise and
all untreated surfaces are expected to be snow covered and slippery.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Leftover light snow will taper off by 10 AM Tuesday with much
improved travel conditions anticipated by forenoon.
Scattered snow squalls are expected to move southeast through this
area Wednesday, especially during Wednesday afternoon. They could
deposit a quick one half to 1 inch of snow, making stretches of
pavement suddenly very slippery as temperatures briefly fall to near
freezing in the squalls. Additionally visibility could briefly be
sharply reduced to a quarter mile in some spots. Just be alert for
suddenly changing travel conditions on Wednesday.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
