...VERY HEAVY SNOW WITH DANGEROUS CONDITIONS...

Very heavy snow with rates up to 3 inches per hour and temperatures
near freezing will shift eastward through this afternoon and into
this evening resulting in dangerous road conditions. Roads will
be snow covered and visibility will be significantly reduced to
one quarter of a mile.

Winds will gust out of the northwest around 25 to 30 mph, with
stronger gusts near the coasts. These gusty winds along with the
heavy wet snow rapidly sticking to trees and power lines will
result in tree limbs breaking or some trees becoming uprooted.
This will result in additional power outages.

When snowfall rates reach or exceed 1 inch per hour, accumulation
on roads makes it difficult for road crews to keep up. Travel is
not recommended.
