...Heavy wet snow developing northeast Maryland central and
northern Delaware and soon the Philadelphia area...

The beginnings of a major winter storm are bing felt now in parts
of Delaware and northeast Maryland. Already an inch of snow is on
the ground in Rock Hall Delaware. Most of the area from Wilmington
to Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs of southeast Pennsylvania,
southwest New Jersey, the northern half of Delaware and adjacent
northeast Maryland can expect 1 to 3 inches by 4 AM. Roads will
have the least snow but they will become slushy in some areas.

The snow will lighten up or may even briefly change back to light
rain toward dawn.

Then the much more dangerous part of the storm begins around 7
AM with any mixed precipitation changing over to occasionally
heavy wet snow by forenoon.

Be alert for slippery pavement and take extra time to reach your
destination overnight.
